Birthday dinner by the Eiffel Tower
Today was the day our year's planning had been building towards. Started at 2am when Mel, Dave and Ali returned from a jazz bar, hmmmm.
Paul, Dave and Mel went for a walk and then food shopping, Amelia and I tidied up then took Ali and went to meet Crys. Paris is becoming louder!
Home for lunch - baguettes, camembert, wine, yum. Then out for a walk to show Crys and Dave our Paris. Home to get ready to leave by 5pm.
First goal was to get photos in front of the Eiffel Tower. Amelia and I were glad we had pre-planned this!
Had heaps of fun playing tourists with the birthday girl.
On to a wine bar for a tipple and to fill in an hour.
Then on to the restaurant - sadly we followed Mel who KNEW where she was going - not! After walking around 3 sides of a large square and ending up back at the wine bar, Amelia and I took charge and within 5 minutes we were at rue Amelie and Chez Pierrot.

What a delightful evening! Very small restaurant - about 25 diners. The food was just superb, we had a variety of smoked salmon, duck, steak, some of us chose escargots. Beautiful wine, lots of funny stories among the speeches, just a perfect night.
Metro home around midnight, and very glad to take of our high heeled boots!
Bonne anniversaire, ma chere fille.
