Bring on the family!

Slow start to the day after a rough night.
Amelia went to have her poor nails repaired, Paul and I wandered around le Marais, just loving the narrow cobbled streets with little shops, and aware our time is running out.

1 down, 1 to go! On the train from Gare du Nord
to Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Home for home made baguette sandwiches for lunch, then off to Gare du Nord to meet Mel from London. Bit of a drama, out of over 25 lines, they chose line 5 to receive Mel's Eurostar - which was shut off due to a sick passenger on the platform - needing a typically French number of police, army, station officials, paramedics, an ambulance, quantities of yellow tape etc. The Eurostar arrived, people disembarked, the ambulance left, and we found Mel!
Found number 2!

Quick hugs and welcomes, lots of chat, then off via RER train to the airport to meet Ali. Flipping expensive - but we arranged to meet him at the Airport RER gate so we could just hand him his train ticket, and not go through the gate ourselves, thus using our same tickets to return to Paris. Does that make sense? 48 Euros instead of 96!
Train back to Paris, lots of laughs and stories on the way. We are not a quiet family!
Home to drop bags and have a drink, then off for a walk as the sun set. Down past Hotel du Ville, over the Seine, past Notre Dame and into the 5th. So much fun to explore together.

Back home for soup and baguettes, wine, and gorgeous desserts from our local patisserie.
Ali fell asleep on the couch - he still has plans to head out with Mel and Amelia to a jam bar we found - we'll see!
Love my family to bits, looking forward to Crys and Dave arriving soon, and missing Si, Chloe, Jo and Sam.
